Disseminating knowledge and providing quality information are the premises of the technical cooperation agreement signed between TN Petróleo and SPE Brasil - Society of Petroleum Engineers - Brazil Section. The unprecedented initiative reflects the mutual recognition of the role that each one plays in society, especially in the oil and gas sector, along with the entire production chain of this industry, which is crucial for the resumption of the country's development.

Through the partnership, SPE Brasil becomes the ‘technical editorial board’ of TN Petróleo, providing a magazine of articles on the main themes of the sector: drilling and completion of wells; underwater engineering; occupational hygiene; health and safety; and the environment; research, development and innovation; stationary production units (UEPs); reservoir engineering; digital transformation; decommissioning, among others.

“This partnership is another excellent way of disseminating knowledge and recognizing market professionals. As the articles will be reviewed by SPE specialists (peer reviewed) there is a guarantee of the quality of the content. And the capillarity and reliability of TN Petróleo will make the information reach the right audience, guaranteeing the author's recognition. An initiative that will certainly bring good results for the entire industry ”, says the president of SPE Brasil, Carlos Alberto Pedroso (photo).

SPE will also provide technical support in the review of articles submitted for publication in TN Petróleo, which thus has the opportunity to hold the seal of this international organization, which adds up to around 270 thousand affiliates in the world. The Brazil section has the highest number of student chapters and the professionals recognized by it in national awards have been collecting the largest number of international awards granted to members from Latin America and the Caribbean.

“One of our pillars is the dissemination of technical knowledge. In this line, we are certain that the partnership between SPE Seção Brasil and TN Petróleo will keep us at a different level before society and the oil and gas sector, at the same time that we will be supporting the technical disruption of this industry ”, points out SPE Brasil's Director of Partnerships, Itamar Alves dos Santos (photo).

“For TN Petróleo, which in more than two decades has reiterated its commitment to information for the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry, nothing more natural than a partnership with an internationally recognized technical entity, which is the repository of the knowledge of this sector ”, highlights the New Business director of TN Petróleo, Lia Medeiros (photo).

The partnership is the culmination of the trajectory of TN Petróleo, the first specialized publication in this segment to open the doors to the technical community, giving space for publications of articles, theses, opinions not only of professionals but also of new talents in this sector, still in training in Brazilian universities.

With this partnership, TN Petróleo and SPE Brasil reaffirm their commitment to always keep the knowledge portals open!
