The Union’s daily oil production totaled 174 thousand barrels per day (bpd) in September, an increase of 3.57% compared to August. The result considers production from eight production-sharing contracts and four unitization agreements (AIPs). Under the production-sharing contracts, the Union’s share of oil amounted to 157.21 thousand bpd, with Mero standing out as responsible for more than 68% of the oil produced. In the AIPs, the Union’s production reached 16.83 thousand bpd, with the Mero AIP accounting for 78% of this volume. In September, the Union’s average volume of gas available for export was 551 thousand m³ per day.

Production from the Production-Sharing Contracts

Total oil production from fields under the production-sharing regime reached 1.43 million bpd, slightly higher than the previous month (up 3%) due to increased output at Mero. Mero was the largest producer, with 607.2 thousand bpd, followed by Búzios with 570.4 thousand bpd.

Natural gas exports under the production-sharing contracts in September totaled 6.43 million m³ per day, a result 14% lower compared to the previous period. Búzios was the largest exporter, with 4.98 million m³ per day, representing 77% of the total. Regarding the historical series, cumulative natural gas production under the production-sharing regime since 2017 amounts to 4.6 billion m³, of which 286.54 million m³ correspond to the Union’s share.
