Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) has appointed two new presidents to lead its Americas business. Mitch Fralick and John Glithero have taken up co-presidency of the company’s largest region from Derek Blackwood, who is retiring.
Responsible for WGPSN’s regional strategy, operations and functional delivery, and all acquisitions and business integration they will report directly to WGPSN’s chief executive, Robin Watson.
WGPSN’s Americas business employs more than 9,000 people, working in oil & gas operations, maintenance and construction, in conventional and unconventional plays. Mr. Glithero and Mr. Fralick were previously co-presidents of WGPSN’s US business.
Speaking about these appointments, Robin Watson said: "We have almost doubled the size of our business in the Americas region in the last two years. The business here is now the largest for WGPSN globally and that growth is set to continue under Mitch and John’s leadership. Both men have played key roles in growing the business and successfully acquiring three companies in the US in the last two years.
"They are two exceptional leaders working in a region where we have a significant geographic footprint, customers onshore and offshore, and people spread across Canada, the US, Latin America and the Caribbean so co-presidency made sense. I am looking forward to working with John and Mitch to deliver ongoing growth and opportunities for our people."
Both natives of Texas, Mr. Glithero and Mr. Fralick have been part of the Wood Group family since 2002 and 2008, respectively, and have 60 years of combined experience in the oil & gas industry.
Mr. Glithero joined Wood Group from Baker Energy in 2002 as executive vice president for the US offshore operations & maintenance business. He was instrumental in Wood Group’s 2009 acquisition of Baker Energy and established WGPSN as a leading contract operations provider in the Gulf of Mexico, before he was appointed co-president for the US region, alongside Mr. Fralick.
Mr. Fralick joined Wood Group in 2008 through the acquisition of Producers Assistance Corporation (PAC), a company he founded and led as president. He was senior vice president of onshore operations before being appointed co-president for the US business, alongside Mr. Glithero.
