Marintec South America - Navalshore, main business platform to leverage innovations and connect with the maritime community in South America, reaches its 13th edition consolidated as the only fair to provide complete solutions to the maritime sector. In 2016, the event, which takes place from 19 to 21 September at the SulAmérica Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), brings together more than 380 brands in 11.000 m², including, ship owners, shipyards, manufacturers and suppliers, national and international, and should receive more than 16 thousand professionals.

 

In addition to the exhibition space and networking, the event foments new businesses and grants a special ambience for the launch of new products and services, and for the discussion of key industry themes. Furthermore, Marintec also reserves an exclusive opportunity for the industry professionals. "It is our role to find solutions that work with the shipbuilding industry in fronts considered strategic for the entire chain, such as increased productivity, operability, vocational qualifications, technology, investments, supply and demand, and employment too", says the manager of the show, Renan Joel.

 

Leadership Meeting - After the 2015 success, when more than 260 participants gathered in its first edition, the Shipbuilding Leaders Forum will consist this year of three panels, carried out during the three days of the event, which will address topics such as "The Future of Marine and Offshore Industry: Opportunities and Challenges"; "Infrastructure Development and Transport Brazilian Maritime" and "Technology and Innovation at the National Maritime Industry and International".

 

As in the previous edition, the  Shipbuilding Leaders Forum is held in partnership with the Federation of Industries of State of Rio de Janeiro and will bring together key associations, organizations and industry experts, including: the National Agency of Waterway Transportation, the Association Brazilian Engineering Construction Onshore, Offshore and Maritime, the Industrial Development Company of the State of Rio de Janeiro, the Dock Company of the Holy Spirit, the Armed Forces Joint Defence Ministry and the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute of Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering.

 

Brazilian fishing market - Just as the Leadership Forum, Marintec South America also will host once again the Fishing Fleet Renewal Seminar to discuss the sector's course in Brazil. The side event will be attended by authorities and sector associations, such as the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply; the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture of Angra dos Reis; the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources; the Foundation Institute for Fisheries of the State of Rio de Janeiro and the Union of Shipowners of Fisheries of Rio de Janeiro.

 

Professional Qualification - Other unique attractions of the show are free technical training, which will be held during the three days of the event, in partnership with one of the leading companies for certification in the appropriate standard, RINA Group.

 

On the 19th, from 14h to 18h, professionals may attend the seminar about ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 - Version 2015, considering risk management. On the 20th, at the same time, it will be time to talk about rules and national and international statutory regulations. And on 21 other two themes are highlighted: the management of Port State Control Inspections, and the basic knowledge on the implementation of the ISM Code on board and in companies.

 

Also on the 21st, industry professionals will have the opportunity to participate of the Recruitment and Selection Seminar, which will feature lectures by experts in the labor market, as business representatives Hays Brazil and Robert Half, and Corporate University Offshore.
