The Brazilian Association of Independent Oil and Gas Producers (ABPIP) will be present at Sergipe Oil & Gas 2026, one of the main oil and gas industry events in Brazil, to be held on July 29 and 30 in Aracaju (SE). Over the two days of programming, the entity will take part in technical debates, hold an exclusive meeting with its members, and receive visitors at its institutional booth.

Recognized as one of the leading forums for discussing the direction of the oil and gas industry in the Northeast, Sergipe Oil & Gas brings together companies, experts, universities, suppliers, and authorities to debate innovation, investments, sustainability, and opportunities for the sector.

ABPIP's program includes two strategic panels at the event's Congress. On July 29 at 4:00 PM, the Association's Executive Manager, Lucas Lima, will take part in a debate on structural integrity and process safety. Following that, at 5:30 PM, ABPIP's President, Márcio Felix (pictured), will join the panel "Onshore E&P in Sergipe," which will discuss the potential of onshore fields and the challenges of increasing investments in the region.

On July 30, the Association will hold an exclusive technical meeting for member companies on Operational Safety, with the participation of experts from the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). The meeting will address regulatory aspects and best practices related to the safety of exploration and production operations.

In addition to the technical program, ABPIP will have a booth throughout the event to present its initiatives, strengthen relationships with companies, authorities, and investors, and broaden the dialogue on the challenges and opportunities of independent oil and gas production in Brazil. "Sergipe Oil & Gas has become a strategic space to discuss the future of independent production, share experiences, and build solutions to enhance the sector's competitiveness. ABPIP's presence reinforces our commitment to the development of the national industry and to strengthening independent producers," says the entity's President, Márcio Felix.

Sergipe in the spotlight

ABPIP's participation comes at a time of expanding production by its members. In March 2026, the independent producers represented by the Association achieved an average production of 391.6 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), a 31.6% increase compared to the same period last year.

In Sergipe, the members accounted for an average production of approximately 13.1 thousand boe/d, equivalent to 98% of the state's total production, composed mostly of onshore operations. In the first half of 2026, this activity also generated around R$ 208 million in royalties, reinforcing its economic relevance for both the state and the producing municipalities.
