One of the world’s leading well engineering consultancy firms has opened its doors in Aberdeen.
Acona UK is part of the Norwegian Acona Group which offers a flexible talent pool of more than 240 top consultants to the upstream oil and gas industry. The company has set up its Aberdeen office in £1 million premises on Albyn Terrace where six people are currently employed.
Douglas Nunn, of Acona UK, said: “We may be a new name in the city, but Acona is a well established, trusted company with a reputation for the provision of high quality consultants selected on the basis of more than just their CV. Our drilling engineers and wellsite supervisors go through a process of competency profiling so clients know they are getting the high calibre personnel needed in today’s offshore environment.”
Steve Combe, Single Placement Manager, added: “Our single placement division will act as a reservoir of talent for internal and external wells teams. The local market is sure to benefit in terms of expanding the choice on offer to clients and candidates alike.”
