Açu Natural Gas holds Virtual Public Hearing of the Açu LT 500kV - Campos 2

GNA - Gás Natural Açu will hold on Tuesday (06/16), at 7 pm, a virtual Public Hearing to present the project of the 500kV Açu Transmission Line - Campos 2. With more than 37 km of extension, the project of LT runs through the municipalities of Campos dos Goytacazes and São João da Barra, in the northern region of the state. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the virtual Public Hearing will be broadcast live, via the internet on the GNA website (www.gna.com.br/ap), or through the radio stations 97 FM (97.1) and Costa Doce FM ( 101.9).

 

On the occasion, in addition to getting to know the project better, as well as the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) and the Environmental Impact Report (RIMA) of the project, the population will have the opportunity to ask questions. For this, different channels were made available for easy access by the population.

On the GNA website, after filling out a short form, the population will be able to send their questions and speak. For those who choose to follow the Public Hearing on the radio, just send your full name, ID and the question, via WhatsApp, at: (22) 99975-5059. The channels for sending questions will be opened on the day of the hearing.

 

"The Virtual Public Hearing reinforces our commitment to the residents of the region, not only with the transparency of our actions, but also with the health of all, especially in a time of pandemic. We want to bring the maximum amount of information in a safe way to the population from São João da Barra and Campos dos Goytacazes and the region. We count on everyone's participation ", highlights João Teixeira, General Licensing Manager at GNA.

About the project 

The 500kV Açu - Campos 2 transmission line corresponds to a 37.72km long project, crossing the municipalities of São João da Barra (15.55 km) and Campos dos Goytacazes (21.86 km). The line is necessary to transport the electricity generated by UTE GNA II, which will be built by GNA, in Porto do Açu, in São João da Barra, up to Campos 2 substation, in Campos dos Goytacazes, in order to supply energy for the SIN - National Interconnected System. The project is part of the natural gas thermoelectric park that GNA builds in Porto do Açu.
