Angolan oil production rises to 1.471 million barrels per day in April

Angola’s oil output rose by 74,000 barrels per day (bpd) last May to 1.471 million bpd, according to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) monthly report.

 

Production in April is almost identical to that recorded in March, when the country produced 1.447 million bpd, also according to secondary sources, and is also very consistent with the figures for the third and fourth quarters of 2018 and the first of 2019.

 

Based on direct communication, Angola’s oil production in May increased by 70,000 bpd to 1,462 million bpd, returning to the amounts recorded in the third and fourth quarters of 2018 and the first quarter of 2019.

 

The OPEC report also said that Russia, Saudi Arabia and Angola were the main oil suppliers to China last April, with shares of 14%, 11% and 10%, respectively.
