Anhydrous and hydrated ethanol rose again after three weeks of decline according to the Cepea/Esalq Indicator, from USP. In the week of March 27th to 31st, hydrous ethanol, used in flex-fuel cars or originally fueled by alcohol, was sold at BRL 2.7332 a liter, against BRL 2.6827 a liter the previous week, an increase of 1.88% in the comparative. The last high of the indicator had occurred in the week of February 27th to March 3rd.

Already the anhydrous, used in the mixture with gasoline, rose 0.78% in the last week, sold at R$ 3.0743 the liter against R$ 3.0505 the liter of the week of 20 to 24 of March.

Paulínia Daily Indicator
According to the Paulínia Daily Indicator, on Friday (31) there was an increase for the fourth consecutive day in hydrous ethanol prices. Biofuel was negotiated by the plants at BRL 2,873.00 a m³ against BRL 2,861.50 a m³ practiced on Thursday, an appreciation of 0.40% in the comparison. In the month of March, the indicator closed at 1.97%.
