OTC Brasil and Rio Pipeline 2017
T&B Petroleum/Agência Brasil
Décio Oddoni of the ANP, expressed yesterday (24) optimism with the realization of the 3rd and 4th rounds of the pre-salt, which happens on Friday (27). "All pre-salt areas will be interested because it is a high-productivity area. It has wells producing 40,000 barrels a day, which happens in few countries. It's a very large productivity volume, "he said.
The ANP's assessment is that there will be a fierce dispute between the 16 oil companies that are qualified for the two rounds with an offer of eight blocks, all in the pre-salt region.
Oddoni announced that the government intends to adopt a fixed auction schedule for the next five years. "We will complement the areas offered for 2020 and 2021, thus fulfilling five calendar years. The idea is to have a fixed calendar, a permanent offer. And this will be implemented from next year, "he said.
The government's intention, Oddoni said, "is to create an offer bank that will always be available to companies, with minimum conditions, minimum prices, minimum exploratory program. If anyone manifests [interested] there will be the auction. "
Oddoni said that of the eight areas that will be auctioned next Friday, in a sharing regime, the state will own 75% of all the income generated from exploration and production activity from the pre-salt. In the evaluation of the director of the ANP, are included the resources coming from the signing bonus, which can reach R $ 7.75 billion; royalties, taxes and taxes arising from the activity.
The director of the ANP participated in the opening of the Offshore Tecnology Conference (OTC 2017), which takes place until next Thursday (26) in Rio.
