The new format for the ANP Fuel Price Survey (LPC) is scheduled for September. The survey tracks the prices of automotive fuels and LPG (cooking gas) on a weekly basis, which are published weekly on the Agency's portal.

As the contract with the previous company has already ended, there will be an interruption in the research between 8/23 and 9/9. The new contract with the company that will provide the services to the Agency has already been signed and the publication of data collected from 9/9 is scheduled for 9/14.

The new survey will use an electronic form, which will capture the researcher's geolocation, with date and time, and request the inclusion of photos of the post and the price panel, guaranteeing the reliability and traceability of the data.

In addition, the LPC will no longer capture the prices paid for the service stations to distributors, as currently ANP Resolutions No. 729/2018 and No. 795/2019 already oblige distributors to provide this data through the Product Movement System (SIMP) ). These data will be made available on the ANP portal.

The geographical scope of the survey, which includes 459 locations, will remain the same, as will the periodicity (weekly) and the number of gas stations (about 6 thousand) and LPG resellers (about 4,400) surveyed per week.

According to the bidding criteria, the contract provides for the gradual expansion of the research samples. In the first stage, the survey will cover at least 26 state capitals and the Federal District. The addition of locations will take place over eight stages, until reaching 459 locations.
