The EU-Brazil Technology and Innovation Forum The EU-Brazil Technology and Innovation Forum is organized by the B.BICE+ consortium at the occasion of the XXIV ANPROTEC Seminar on Science Parks and Business Incubation, held this year in Belém (Brazil) from the 22nd to the 25th of September 2014. The ANPROTEC’s annual seminar constitutes an important tool for the consolidation of the movement of innovative entrepreneurship in Brazil; it contributes to strengthening business incubators and science & technology parks, as well as public policies related to Science, Technology and Innovation. About 600 participants are expected to participate in the 2014 seminar. In this advantageous context to promote links with the Brazilian innovation actors, B.BICE+ will organize different events and encounters.

 

About the Tour of Brazil

 

The event “Opportunities for Brazilian SMEs, Technological Parks and other innovation actors for cooperation with Europe” is organized during this Forum jointly with the Embassies of the European Member States, the European Union Delegation to Brazil and EURAXESS as part of the Tour of Brazil (More information here).

 

The Tour of Brazil aims to make more visible the EU ST&I landscape to Brazilian partners and to open avenues for new EU-Brazil cooperations and strengthen bilateral relations.

During this event of the Tour of Brazil, European Research and Innovation programmes will be presented, including the EU Member States (MS) bilateral programmes as well as programmes financed by the European Commission with a focus on Horizon 2020.

 

How to participate in the EU-Brazil Technology and Innovation Forum/Tour of Brazil?

 

The call for expression of interest

 

A Call for expression of interest has been launched targeting Brazilian and European Union Member States research and innovation actors in order to identify the participants (speakers) to the following B2B encounters and panels organized by B.BICE+ during the EU-Brazil Technology and Innovation Forum/Tour of Brazil. The participation of the selected candidates to the events of the EU-Brazil Technology and Innovation Forum/Tour of Brazil will be financed by B.BICE+. The detailed agenda of each event will be determined depending on the results of the call for expression of interest and the selected candidates. B.BICE+ is a project funded by the European Commission under the FP7 programme with the aims of:

 

  • Supporting the policy dialogue on ST&I between the EU and Brazil
  • Facilitating links between EU and Brazilian actors across the entire research and innovation chain
  • Contributing to the coordination of the EU member states’ initiatives targeting Brazil
  • Promoting innovation as a global policy objective for the EU-Brazil cooperation.

The B.BICE+ project is conducted by a consortium coordinated by the French Institute de recherche pour le développement (IRD), and constituted by DLR (Germany) and FORTH (Greece) in Europe, along with three important Brazilian institutions: CNPq, ANPROTEC and the University of Brasilia (UnB).

 

The promotion of the EU-Brazil cooperation on innovation is a key dimension of B.BICE+ and is targeted by different activities in the project. Among them, this year the EU-Brazil Technology and Innovation Forum is organized from the 22nd to the 25th of September in Belém (Brazil).
