BR2W, a Brazilian technology company that develops 4.0 solutions for load monitoring and real-time stress analysis of rotating equipment and structures, debuts at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), which starts today and follows until May 3rd in Houston, Texas (USA). The company is presenting its main product, the BR2W® AT Load Cell, with capacity for up to 500 tons and Wi-Fi communication technology.

BR2W was created in 2015 with the purpose of developing equipment and providing specialized services to increase the service life of rotating machines and structures for FPSO operators, ship owners, subsea equipment installation companies and IRM service companies.

"We arrive at OTC 2018 with a portfolio of robust and high-reliability solutions, easy-to-handle products using high-tech materials allied to knowledge in development engineering," says BR2W’s founder Pedro Filho.

“BR2W developed a family of IoT load cells with innovative technology, unique in the world. Our load cells, with capacity up to 500 tonnes, are the lightest in the market, easy to handle, have a control system via Wi-Fi and the data can be recorded. With design, manufacture and patent of BR2W, these load cells were designed for the 4.0 industry and the IoT scenario, able to monitor loads at any location on the planet", adds Pedro Filho.

"Our load cells (traction, compression, shackles and instrumented pins) are manufactured in special alloys, to meet different levels of offshore industry loads. Sealed and water-resistant, they were developed with Wi-Fi technology (no interference with vessel radio), making it possible to read (high resolution) the load values on any device with Wi-Fi technology, giving the operator greater flexibility at the time of the load test”, explains Pedro Filho.
