Brazil awarded on Friday contracts to the developers of 669.5 MW of clean energy capacity, including 538.8 MW of wind, national electricity regulator Aneel said.
With 29 winners, the tender sold 58,004,224.8 MWh at a total price of BRL 10.96 billion (USD 3.1bn/EUR 2.7bn), or BRL 188.87 per MWh.
The auction included wind, biomass, natural gas and hydropower sources. The plants should start supplying power on January 1, 2018. More details about the projects can be found in the table below.
