The Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy gave the green light to four wind power projects with a combined capacity of 106.2 MW to issue infrastructure debentures.

With the permits, the projects now have priority status, which is needed to speed up their implementation, according to decrees published on Wednesday by the national power sector watchdog Aneel.

More details on the projects are available in the table below.

Name  Capacity State
Sao Bento do Norte I 24.2 MW Rio Grande do Norte
Sao Bento do Norte III 22 MW
Cristalandia II 30 MW Bahia
Cristalandia III 30MW

Sao Bento do Norte I and III plants are controled by special purpose entities (SPE) owned by Brazilian power utility Copel (BVMF:CPLE6). The Cristalandia wind farms belong to Italian energy company Enel SpA (BIT:ENEL).
