A propylene cargo is to load in Brazil early August for possible export to Europe or the Caribbean, a shipping source said Thursday.

 

The export cargo follows another that left Brazil the end of June for Antwerp, Belgium, market sources had said.

The imported material would welcomed by buyers who are having difficulty sourcing material within Europe.

 

The European August propylene contract price was fully settled Tuesday at Eur670/mt ($737/mt) FD NWE, a rollover from July. The contract price has maintained strength on tight supplies despite falls upstream. Feedstock naphtha was assessed at $375.50/mt CIF NWE Wednesday, compared with $418.25/mt on July 1.
