The two plants are located in the state of Bahia and were equipped with G90, 2MW turbines supplied by Spanish turbine makers Gamesa.

Caetité 2 and 3 sold power at the renewable power auction of 2010 and were due to start operations in January 2014, but were waiting for the grid connection at Igaporã2 to be completed.
