Brazilian Business and Culture Summer Course

The Summer Program FEA-RP is an intensive 180 hours programme focused the Brazilian Economy s well as agribusiness, also including a strong cultural management aspect.

The subjects will be taught entirely in English, but Portuguese classes are also included, so that students can have a broader view of Brazilian culture, as this is the national language. The programme is structured in seminars, business/technical/tourism visits, workshops and at the end of the programme the students are required to present a project focused on one of the topics covered.

The Programme is hosted by the School of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting at Ribeirão Preto – University of São Paulo, the best Latin American University, in one of the most important cities for agribusiness in Brazil.

Target group

Undergraduate students who want to add an international dimension to their degree, and mainly learn how to deal in the Brazilian business environment, interacting with other cultures as well as learning about them.

Period

07/07/2014 – 27/07/2014 (3 weeks).

Credits

180 hours will be delivered – credits to be awarded according to the partner’s system

Fee

U$D 1.000

Includes: Course + Portuguese Lessons + Accommodation in shared room + Tcompany visits +trips to São Paulo and to Brasília.

- Conflict and negotiation across cultures;

- Foundations of intercultural service, leadership and management;

- Brazilian culture;

- Brazilian legal environment;

- Topics on Brazilian Economy;

- Food & Agribusiness marketing planning;

- Project development.
