The Brazilian Center of Excellence in EPC (EC-EPC), formed by the major oil companies, engineering firms and suppliers of goods and services for the industry chain of EPC, is opening its doors to other sectors, especially those that have large projects capital. "We believe that the pursuit of excellence in the EPC sector is not only restricted to the oil and gas industry, which was the main sponsor of the center. The question of productivity and competitiveness is an ongoing challenge for other segments", said the president of EC-EPC, Renata Baruzzi, citing infrastructure, mining, energy, chemicals and petrochemicals, pulp and paper, among others.
Remembering that the country now has one of the largest portfolios of infrastructure projects under implementation in the world, the executive emphasizes that the joining of forces of different sectors, which have among their main challenges to the implementation of large projects, will result in benefits for all the epecista and hence the country chain. "The dissemination of best practices in EPC, discussions and studies that have been promoted within the organization, as well as the dissemination of successful experiences in the implementation of capital projects at home and abroad, will certainly contribute to the development of the market as a whole ", says the executive.
According to her, the sector goes beyond the business segments of Engineering (E), Procurement (Procurement) and Construction and Industrial Assembly (C). "There is a huge chain of suppliers of goods and services that have direct and indirect impact on the deployment of a large enterprise. Brazil needs to have a epecista chain excellence and competitiveness that the country's power demand to grow sustainably," he added.
