Thirty-one companies that are part of the oil & gas production chain have confirmed their presence at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC 2025), scheduled to be held on May 5-8 in Houston, United States.

Brazil’s participation, supported by the Brazil Machinery Solutions (BMS) export promotion project, the result of a partnership between ABIMAQ (the Brazilian Machinery Builders’ Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), will bring together 31 companies, including Açoforja, Altave, Altus, Cladtek, Cognittiv, Conexled, CSL Ropes, Delp, DLC, Engemasa, Flexprin Marine, Gascat, Gavea Group, HBR, Inovaren Partners, L.C.D. Engenharia, Maxepoxy, MB Group, MI Electric Brasil, MRM Logistics, Natec, Neptune Marine, Qualitech, Shape Digital, Supplylog, TechnoFink, Technomar, TGS, The Insight, Vanasa Multigas, and WEB Nordeste.

These companies are part of a market that, in 2024, generated the equivalent of $920 million, representing a 10% growth compared to the previous year. The main destinations were the United States (18.3%), Qatar (14.9%), and Saudi Arabia (12.5%), in addition to 47 other countries, during the period. The main products exported were uncoated and seamless steel alloy pipes for well casing (49%), followed by longitudinally submerged arc welded pipes, used in oil and gas pipelines, with a circular cross section and diameter greater than 406.4 mm (17%), and uncoated and seamless steel alloy pipes for well casing, with a diameter equal to or less than 229 mm (14%).

This scenario highlights the strategic importance of Brazil’s participation at OTC 2025, as noted by Patrícia Gomes, Executive Director of External Markets at ABIMAQ. “Brazil Machinery Solutions’ participation at OTC Houston 2025 marks a moment that is strategic for the Brazilian industry and unprecedented for our sectoral project. Being present at one of the largest global stages for offshore technology is simultaneously a challenge and a great opportunity for international positioning. The fair is acknowledged worldwide as one of the main meeting points for the O&G sector – more than the United States, it features players from across the world who are attentive to the innovations and solutions presented here. We are bringing an interesting selection of companies to represent our country, from machinery and equipment, through engineering and logistics services, to companies that develop software and artificial intelligence for the sector, demonstrating the strength and diversity of our oil & gas chain. This movement reinforces our commitment to presenting increasingly integrated solutions that are in line with the global transformations of the sector. Also, more than ever, we wish to highlight the role that the Brazilian industry can play in the energy transition. We believe that the oil & gas sector has a relevant role to play, particularly when guided by responsible ESG practices and sustainable innovation.”

OTC sets the direction of the energy market

Held annually since 1969 in Houston, Texas, United States, holding regional versions in Brazil and Asia, OTC is the meeting point for professionals and companies that are shaping the future of the energy sector on the planet. The event’s numbers justify this statement: Over 1,200 exhibitors will be spread across over 252,000 square meters of area, visited by over 30,000 visitors from the United States and 107 other countries. The fair will also have 14 national pavilions, including Brazil’s.

In addition to being a great networking opportunity, the fair has an extensive program with more than 450 technical lectures, covering various topics related to the offshore exploration and production sector during the four days of the event.
