Brazil's inflation 0.24% in July

Brazil's Broad National Consumer Price Index (IPCA), the country's official inflation gauge, was 0.24% in July. In June, there was 0.23% deflation (price decrease). In July 2016, the inflation rate was 0.52%.

 

The cumulative inflation in 2017 reached 1.43%, whereas the 12-month cumulative rate was 2,71%, below the target set by the federal government (4.5%).

 

The data was released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) today (Aug. 9).
