The Campos basin, which is completing nearly half a century of oil and gas exploration and production activities in Brazil, has shown that it remains one of the most attractive in the country.

She was the pivot of the fiercest dispute of this auction, in the last sector auctioned today, SC-AP3, that is next to the poly-salt of the pre-salt and in the line of the field of Marlim. Petrobras formed a consortium with Exxom Mobil, Total E & P with BP Brasil, Shell Brasil with Repsol, and China's CNOOC entered alone. Petrobras and Exxom paid almost 3.6 billion to complete the six blocks offered.

In the first sector, Exxom Mobil paid R $ 63.4 million of bonds - with goodwill above 100% - for two deepwater blocks in the first sector offered, winning the dispute with Petrobras and Karoon for one of the blocks and taking the other without competition.
