After three days of intense debates, inspiring lectures, and networking opportunities, the International Brazil Energy Meeting (iBEM 25) came to a close, solidifying itself as one of the most important energy sector events in Latin America. With representatives from 25 countries, the event—organized in partnership by Austral, BrainMarket, and Eolus—brought reflections and solutions for the challenges of the energy transition, leveraging expertise from the oil and gas sector while maintaining a strong focus on the urgency of climate issues.

Qualidados opened the day's agenda in the One Energy Plenary, reinforcing the importance of knowledge transfer in the energy transition process. The company highlighted that while the expertise gained in oil and gas is valuable, it must be complemented by new sustainable practices.

"Today, we discussed the importance of not disregarding the knowledge accumulated in oil and gas, while also not downplaying the global climate issue. Qualidados is committed to transferring know-how and knowledge to clients and companies in this sector," emphasized Marco Taveira, Business Developer at Qualidados and speaker at this conference.

Professional Training as a Pillar of the Energy Transition

Another highlight on iBEM 25’s final day was the Energy Integration Plenary, which focused on the need for professional training to drive changes in the sector.

"I believe we have demonstrated that this is a complex issue, and we need to find the best path to successfully navigate the energy transition that our country and planet require," stressed Carlos Corrêa, a researcher at the Bioeconomy Studies Group at UFRJ and moderator of the discussions.

During this plenary, Professor Artur Campos, leader of the Professional Training Center at Unit, spoke about the emerging partnership between BrainMarket and the university.

"BrainMarket developed a project called Qualipro for us, where they will reach out to companies, gather their challenges and difficulties, and collaborate with the university to develop customized courses that directly address these industry needs," explained Professor Campos.

The Future of Energy in the Hands of the Youth

The One Energy area also opened its doors to future talent, fostering dialogue between young professionals and industry leaders in a space specifically designed for this interaction. This initiative aims to connect new generations with the energy sector, ensuring continuous innovation and renewal.

Lia Medeiros, Director of Communications, Sustainability, and People at TN, who moderated discussions in this plenary, emphasized the importance of integrating young professionals into the market.

"This is a fantastic opportunity to bridge the gap between young professionals and companies in the oil, gas, and energy sectors. Today, we face significant challenges in aligning qualified talent with hiring companies. The goal of this initiative is to facilitate this connection in a barrier-free environment, designed exclusively to encourage interaction and knowledge exchange," said Medeiros.

iBEM 25: A Historic Edition and an Invitation for 2026

In its first edition, iBEM 25 has already established itself as Latin America's premier energy event, paving the way for even more impactful future editions. The event was such a success that the 2026 edition is already confirmed, once again taking place in March.

Nicolás Honorato, Director of iBEM and CEO of Austral Energy Consulting, shared his enthusiasm:

"It was a pleasure to organize and deliver an event of this scale and diversity, bringing together all energy sources—both renewable and non-renewable—for debates, discussions, and interactions with representatives from Brazil and beyond. We want to show the world the Brazilian approach to energy integration. The next edition is already confirmed for March 2026, and everyone is invited!" emphasized Honorato.
