The National Council for Energy Policy (CNPE) today published (18/12), in the Official Gazette of the Union, Resolutions 17 and 18/2018, which authorize ANP to hold, respectively, the 16th Round of Bids for blocks and the production of oil and natural gas in the concession modality and the 6th Round of Bids under the production sharing regime. Both are planned for 2019.

The 16th round in the concession regime will offer 42 blocks in the sedimentary basins of Pernambuco-Paraíba, Jacuípe, Camamu-Almada, Campos and Santos, totaling 29.91 thousand km² of area. The 6th Round of Sharing will offer the blocks Aram, Boomerangue, Cruzeiro do Sul and Southwest Sagittarius, in the Santos Basin, and Brava North, located in the Campos Basin.

CNPE Resolution 19/2018 was also published today, authorizing the ANP to detail the studies of the prospects indicated to compose the 7th and 8th Round of Tenders for Production Sharing, in the years of 2020 and 2021, respectively.
