Pedro Parente, president of Petrobras, said today (27) that the sale of shares in BR Distribuidora will result in the change of company control in the first quarter of 2017. The company operates in the transport of the fuel of the state company.

After meeting with interim President Michel Temer, Parente said he prefers to treat "the divestment process," of the company as a partnership and that he has to follow "certain rules", as in the case of BR Distribuidora, the previous process was canceled, resulting in the need to start the entire process.

"We had to start from the beginning. Let's start getting binding proposals in late November or December, suggesting closing of the transaction in the first quarter of next year, possibly, "said Parente, who explained:" Of course, depending on who is the partner, there may be issues of regulatory nature, in which there run, since the transaction will be subject to regulatory authorities, depending on the partner with more or less difficulty. "

Parente also said that there are various initiatives already announced that follow the same trend. Among them, two regasification plants associated with its thermal unit, which has also been announced. "We still have Liquigás on sale process of 100% [of the company]. In the case of Liquigas, it is a company that was not of Petrobras for 15 years. So, basically, it will be a re-privatization, "informed the president of Petrobras.

"We are keeping the goal of US $ 15 billion of divestments of partnership initiatives between 2015 and 2016. Like last year we did about $ 900 million, we have to realize US $ 14.1 billion," he added.
