The ANP launched yesterday (24/3) a dynamic panel that uses a Business Intelligence (BI) tool, with public data of all 117 thousand certificates of local content issued until December 2019. The tool allows to consult and cross information such as the average percentage of nationalization of certified goods and services in each period, the most demanded certification scopes and the most frequent suppliers, in addition to data on the certification bodies themselves.

The new tool is available for consultation on the Dynamic Local Content Certification Panel page.

To reduce inconsistencies in older reports, the database - which will be updated every three months - was treated with the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. However, raw raw data is also available at the same email address.

The dynamic panel is part of the Agency's efforts to increase the transparency of local content data. In the next stage of the project, in addition to the public information for each certificate, it will also be disseminated in an aggregate form, so as not to harm trade secrets, information that is individually confidential, such as the values of certified goods and services.

Previously, public data on certificates were disseminated, in a sparse and non-standardized way, only on the websites of the respective certification bodies that issued them, which made it more difficult to carry out more in-depth consultations and research.

The certification of local content is mandatory in order to comply with the commitments contained in the Local Content Clause contained in the exploration and production contracts signed by the Agency since the 7th Exploratory Block Bidding Round.
