Brazil exported 278.7 million liters of ethanol in October, up 82.3% compared to 152.9 million liters shipped in the same period of 2017 and 58% in relation to the 176.4 million liters exported in September 2018. The data were released on Thursday by the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC).


Revenue from the sale of biofuel reached US $ 139.6 million in October, an increase of 58.5% compared to US $ 88.1 million in October 2017. In comparison to US $ 84.4 million in September 2018, revenue grew 65.4%.

 

In the year of 2018, the volume exported reached 1.444 billion liters, an increase of 18.46% compared to the 1.219 billion liters shipped in the first ten months of last year. Revenue totaled US $ 769.5 million from January to October 2018, up 11.1% compared to revenues of US $ 692.4 million accumulated in the same period of 2017.
