Leading international oilfield services company, Expro, is set to unveil its new facility in Macaé, Brazil – a seven-figure investment for the company.

The 20,000 sqm facility, located in the neighbourhood of Novo Caveleiros, combines operational product lines, an employee training and development centre and state-of-the-art technology to meet the demands of Expro’s expanding business.

With enough space to accommodate future increase in the workforce, these facilities are ideally located to support the business’ south and south east regional demands.

Jean Moritz, Region Director for Latin America, comments: “We are delighted to be investing in this bespoke facility which highlights our commitment to delivering major projects in Brazil.

“Expro’s new purpose-built base will strengthen and optimise our delivery of services to clients. In addition to increasing Expro’s capabilities and meeting high health, safety and environmental standards, the project includes an investment in new technology and equipment within Brazil.”

Carlos Madaleno, Strategy, Resources and Supply Chain Manager for Latin America, added: “As a key hub within Latin America, the facility will accommodate our staff and product lines, as well as dedicated on-site training facilities to train and develop employees.

”This will help maintain Expro’s position as a market-leading well flow management specialist in the country and contribute to continued regional success.”

Expro will be exhibiting at Rio Oil & Gas in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, on Stand I21 from 15-18 September 2014.

Brian Champion, Global Sales Director for Expro’s Wireless Well Solutions Product Line, will present a technical paper discussing reservoir uncertainty at the conference on Wednesday 17 September, from 11.30am-12.00pm. The Brazillian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP) paper, co-authored with Petrobras, is entitled ‘Reducing Reservoir Uncertainty during Appraisal & Development – Novel Applications of a New Wireless’.
