The ROG-E, one of the world's largest energy events, will feature the presence of global CEOs Anders Opedal from the Norwegian Equinor and Patrick Pouyanné from the French TotalEnergies. Both will participate in the Strategic Talks, which will be part of the program organized by the Brazilian Petroleum, Gas, and Biofuels Institute (IBP) in Rio de Janeiro from September 23 to 26, 2024.

ROG-E will discuss relevant topics for the global economy, the sector, and society, focusing on Low Carbon Solutions, People, Culture, and Transition Finance, which are thematic axes of the event. In addition to these topics, leaders and authorities will engage in discussions about the future paths of the oil and gas industry, the convergence of new renewable sources, and the ambition to achieve net-zero by 2050.

"The IBP aims to reinforce Rio de Janeiro as the energy capital and gateway for investments and business in the sector in Brazil. We want to discuss and find diverse solutions for topics relevant to society, such as energy transition and climate change. The presence of Anders Opedal and Patrick Pouyanné will enrich this dialogue. Both have extensive expertise in the development of new energy sources, a topic that will be widely addressed at ROG-E," commented Roberto Ardenghy(photo), President of IBP.
