The second edition of the Flow Assurance Technology Congress (FATC) will take place from November 6th to 8th, 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The FATC 2024 will address a cross-cutting vision from offshore production to energy transition. The conference will cover a wide range of topics related to offshore production, with an emphasis on the shift towards ensure the energy demand and emissions reduction. Themes such as flow assurance management, digital solutions and monitoring in flow assurance, oil field chemistry and fluid characterization, challenges in long tiebacks, well performance, artificial lift and flow technologies, and CO2 transportation and greenhouse gas reduction will be discussed.

The conference will provide a welcoming environment for idea exchange, knowledge sharing, and collaborative partnerships. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations, best practices, and technological solutions to tackle the challenges of flow assurance in conventional production and energy transition.

Flow assurance management is of paramount importance in offshore production. Ensuring the uninterrupted flow of oil and gas from reservoir to production facilities is crucial for efficient operations. The conference will explore the latest advancements and strategies in flow assurance management, including addressing issues such as hydrate management, wax and asphaltene depositions and inorganic scale occurrences.

Digital solutions and monitoring play a critical role in flow assurance and overall offshore production. The conference will showcase the latest development in digital technologies, and real-time monitoring systems. These solutions enable operators to gather and analyze vast amounts of data, facilitating proactive decision-making, and optimization of production processes.

Oil field chemistry and fluid characterization are essential for maximizing offshore production efficiency. The conference will delve into the latest research and developments in oil field chemistry, including techniques and technologies for accurate fluid characterization. This knowledge enables operators to optimize production processes, minimize environmental impact, and ensure safe operations.

Challenges in long tiebacks present unique obstacles in offshore production. The conference will address these challenges and explore case studies and innovative solutions to overcome technical and operational issues associated with connecting subsea wells to production facilities located further offshore.

Well performance optimization is crucial for maximizing production rates and extending the life of offshore fields. The conference will discuss the latest advancements in well performance evaluation, artificial lift, flow simulations and optimization strategies.

CO2 transportation and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction are key components of the energy transition. The conference will highlight the phase behavior and strategies for capturing, transporting, and storing CO2 emissions from offshore production facilities. The conference aims to contribute to the industry's efforts in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning towards a more sustainable energy future.

In conclusion, FATC 2024 will focus on the vision of "From Offshore Production to Energy Transition". The conference will address critical areas such as flow assurance management, digital solutions and monitoring in flow assurance, oil field chemistry and fluid characterization, challenges in long tiebacks, well performance, artificial lift and flow technologies, and CO2 transportation and GHG reduction. By emphasizing these aspects, the conference aims to drive innovation, collaboration, networking and sustainability in the energy industry.
