This week, from August 15 to 17, there is the most important event dedicated to the South American naval and offshore industry, Marintec South America. Held at the SulAmérica Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), and consolidated as the main meeting point of the sector, the fair receives several authorities and specialists in its 14th edition, whose objective is to discuss the future of the naval industry in the country .

 

Among the confirmed names are federal, state and municipal representatives, such as the director of the merchant marine department of the Ministry of Transportation, Ports and Civil Aviation, Laira Vanessa Lage Gonçalves; The water infrastructure director of the National Department of Infrastructure (DNIT), Erick Moura de Medeiros; The undersecretary of public-private oil and gas partnerships of the Secretariat of Civil and Economic Development of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Maria Paula Martins; The manager of the gas and oil department of the National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES), Luiz Marcelo Martins Almeida; among others.

 

In addition, specialists and executives from the main sectoral entities will also be present, such as Maurício José Almeida, president of the Brazilian Association of Onshore, Offshore and Naval Construction Engineering (ABECOON); The president of the Brazilian Society of Naval Engineering (SOBENA), Luiz de Mattos; The president of the Union of the Industry of the Naval Construction, Nautical, Offshore and Repairs of the Amazon (SINDNAVAL), Mateus Araújo; The executive vice-president of the National Union of Shipping Companies (SYNDARMA), Luís Fernando Resano; The executive vice president of the Brazilian Association of Maritime Support Companies (ABEAM), Lilian Schaefer; among others.
