GasBrasiliano, the company responsible for the public service of natural gas distribution in the northwest of the State of São Paulo, has changed its corporate brand and, starting in August 2023, will be known as Necta. The brand, designed by the agency Marcas com Sal, reflects the new moment of the company after privatization, with the arrival of Commit (Compass and Mitsui), which took over management in July 2022 and provided a new strategic direction for the company. 'This new growth phase needed to be clear to customers and employees. The name no longer characterized this new phase, which is marked by connecting people and businesses with the future, hence Necta, which conveys the idea of connection,' explains Ricardo Hatschbach (pictured), CEO of Necta.

By the end of 2024, Necta plans to invest 200 million reais, during which it intends to connect 14,000 new customers in all segments, especially in the urban market (residential and commercial). 'We have the challenge of presenting better energy solutions to the industrial sector while developing the urban market, allowing us to be more present in the daily lives of more people, more families. This way, they will have access to future solutions with cleaner, safer, more efficient energy that also helps boost the region's development and the role of natural gas in the energy transition,' adds the CEO.

Regarding the expansion of the network, by 2023, Necta is expected to complete the connection between Cravinhos and São Simão, and in 2024, it will reach Orlândia. The company will also increase its investments in innovation, further digitizing all processes, which customers can already see on the new website www.nectagas.com.br, offering various conveniences, new features, and much more intuitive navigation.

In the R&D area, Necta will strengthen its partnership with Supera Parque, a technological park located on the campus of USP Ribeirão Preto, focusing investments on innovative projects. 'Our priority is to connect customers and work to build a more inclusive and sustainable tomorrow. We have many challenges ahead, including new supply sources. It is important to emphasize that our ability to attract and develop new projects is related to the next tariff cycle, which is from 2025 to 2029,' he concludes.

About Necta - The company is responsible for the public service of natural gas distribution throughout the northwest of the State of São Paulo, currently present with its distribution network in 42 municipalities. Since the start of its operations, it has constructed approximately 1,300 kilometers of distribution network and currently has around 45,000 customers in residential, commercial, industrial, and automotive markets. The company, which has 120 employees, is headquartered in Araraquara (SP), and has branches in Araçatuba, Bauru, São Carlos, and Ribeirão Preto, where it is expanding its presence with a new office located in the southern part of the city.
