GE Renewable Energy announced that it obtained the Finame Code for Cypress, the company's largest onshore wind turbine, after approval by the BNDES of the accreditation process for this wind turbine model. This procedure certifies the fulfillment of the requirements required for the nationalization of the components established by the development bank and offers special financing conditions to customers interested in purchasing the equipment through the institution's credit lines.

The launch of Cypress in Brazil has been a major milestone in GE's commitment to national production. More than 60% of the machine's components will be manufactured in the country, both at GE's factories in Camaçari (BA) and Suape (PE), as well as at other local suppliers. Currently, about 20 suppliers, in 5 states, are being developed by the company to manufacture its new turbine, including the wind tower manufacturer TEN, GE's joint venture located in Jacobina (BA).

GE has already announced two agreements for the sale of Cypress in Brazil, totaling about 285 MW of additional installed capacity. The installation of the first Cypress units in the country is scheduled for the last quarter of this year and the turbines will operate with power from 4.8 MW to 5.3 MW, establishing a milestone for Brazilian wind generation.
