Brazilian industry revenues grew 1.3% in October compared to September. The information was released on Monday (2), by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), through the survey Industrial Indicators.

CNI economist Marcelo Azevedo points out that this was the fifth consecutive month of growth of the indicator, which registered a high of 3.5% compared to October last year.

“This strongest increase in turnover in October and this very important sequence for turnover recovery comes from a major adjustment that is taking place in the industry, which is inventory adjustment. Inventories are being adjusted more closely than planned by the company, and in addition, we see an improvement in demand. This adjustment in inventories with the increase in demand means that in the coming months we may start to have other stronger numbers, activity that we have already begun to feel and start working hours and even jobs growing in the coming months, ” says.

According to the survey, hours worked in production fell slightly by 0.1% in October compared to September and are 0.1% higher than in the same month last year.
