The industrial beer market has been consolidating in Pernambuco, which already has one of the largest varieties of labels in the country. Copergás participates in this trend as a supplier of seven industrial plants in the Metropolitan Region of Recife.

On the 29th, the company connected Cervejaria Navegantes, in the neighborhood of Guabiraba, North Zone of Recife, marking the beginning of the year with the conquest of the 7th beer industry as a customer. The other six are Ambev and Petrópolis, both in the municipality of Itapissuma; Brasil Kirin, in Igarassu; Cervejaria Duvália, in Olinda; Ekäut, in Recife, and DeBron, in Jaboatão dos Guararapes. All save on energy costs with Copergás fuel.

According to the Pernambucana Association of Craft Beers - Apecerva, about 26 labels (brands) are produced in Pernambuco. Of the seven breweries served by Copergás, four are handcrafted: Navegantes, Duvália, Ekäut and DeBron. Their production is 40 to 60 thousand liters per month, contributing to half the variety of the segment in the State, which together employs about 300 people directly and two thousand indirectly.

Among the large brands, natural gas assists in the production of Heineken, from Brasil Kirin; Itaipava and Petra, from Petrópolis, and Antártica and Brahma, produced at Ambev. Currently, Heineken and Ambev compete for leadership in the North-Northeast in sales.

Last December, Ambev announced an investment of approximately R $ 255 million in its factory to expand its production capacity in Pernambuco. With the partnership with Copergás, the brewing group should reach the capacity of 120 thousand units per hour, among the labels Stella Artois, Skol Puro Malte, Bohemia, Brahma Extra and Brahma Duplo Malte.

Natural gas is used by breweries in the boiling stage, when the hops are added to flavor the drink. The fuel is connected directly to the boiler to generate steam, which heats the mixture.
