Petronect, an information technology company that has become one of the largest Marketplaces in Brazil in solutions for supply chains in the Energy, Oil and Gas sector, is in the process of expanding into new markets and this mission is under the responsibility of its new CEO, engineer and Ms. in Mechanical Engineering Marcelo de Carvalho Bonniard (photo). With more than 18 years in the market, the business platform registered R $ 80 billion in transactions in purchasing processes in 2019.

Initially created to be a purchasing portal provider to serve Petrobrás, Petronect used the accumulated experience and is going into the field as an Information Technology company ready to serve business in various sectors of the industry. Internal transformations led to the creation of a product line, the improvement of processes to gain agility and the increase of investments of around R $ 2 million in Research and Development of solutions to simplify the supply chain.

“This is a critical area in companies and requires constant changes and innovations to guarantee productivity, efficiency and low cost. Petronect adds value by offering a complete tool that provides traceability for all stages of the contracting process, from requisition to payment for the service, at a high level of compliance compared to processes managed by email or similar, ”explains Bonniard. "I believe that the national market has room for growth in our tools due to their reliability, our experience and focus on innovation".

Elson Cordeiro, director of Operations, Services and Technology at Petronect, points out that the restructuring that the company has been going through is not just a leadership, but also a mental model. In addition to the internal changes, he points out that a multiclient solution in the format proposed by the company, requires products and services with the customer as the central point and, from this point of view, this causes an internal cultural change.

“My mission, alongside Bonniard, is to manage a team of professionals so that there is an understanding of the business. We cannot limit ourselves to the execution of our business plan, we have to guarantee a rapid capacity for changes in the search for a living strategic plan ”, highlights the executive. "In short: my mission is not to let short-term actions compromise the long-term agenda."

Another executive who supports the CEO of Petronect in his transformation journey is Rainer Muhlhaus, Commercial and Relationship Director. The Commercial area will unite the company's technical and business experience, contributing to the formatting of exclusive products and services for different sectors of the industry, in addition to raising the level of the Relationship area.

"The market can expect from Petronect greater dynamism and agility, greater proximity to its customers and the market, focus on innovation using the high technological know-how", says Muhlhaus. "Our vision is to transform to be a reference in different sectors of the industry, to have profitability and expressive growth in the coming years".

Regarding the new challenges ahead of Petronect, the new CEO says that he prefers to focus on diversification: “the more customers we have and the more sectors we can serve, the more robust the company will be. Exposure to a broader market will encourage us to be better and, therefore, we believe that we will contribute even more to simplify the industries' supply chain, which is our purpose ”, concludes Marcelo de Carvalho Bonniard.
