Meirelles: Investors are "excited" about Brazil

Finance Minister said the changes adopted by the Brazilian government have been well received, and that GDP has room to grow by 3% in 2018

Finance Minister Henrique Meirelles assessed that foreign investors are showing "enthusiasm" and increased confidence in the wake of renewed growth in the Brazilian economy. The minister also added that economic agents have expressed interest in the changes and reforms implemented by the Brazilian government.

 

“Brazil has consolidated a growth trajectory," Meirelles said on Tuesday (23) after an event in Davos during the World Economic Forum. "We are projecting 3% - the market is at 2.7%, but it will reach 3%; it can go up," he pondered.
