The Minister of Agriculture Tereza Cristina highlighted this morning (6), in a meeting of Cosag - Superior Council for Agribusiness, of Fiesp - Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo, that the federal government considers some measures to be urgent to minimize the impacts of the current crisis in the sugar-energy sector.

According to the Minister, measures on warranting are advancing in the government and the solution is urgent, "because the harvest has already started".

Also according to Tereza Cristina, the concept that "sugar cane cannot be stored" and that the sector is important has already "taken shape in the Government".

Among the measures pointed out by the Minister are studies on the CIDE or the gasoline import tax. For the Minister of Agriculture, CIDE is "less harmful".
