The National Council for Energy Policy (CNPE) has amended, through Resolution No. 16/2017, the multiyear plan for rounds of bidding for oil and natural gas exploration and production blocks for the 2018-2019 biennium.

The resolution, published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday (25/7), authorizes the ANP to modify the areas selected for bidding in the bidding rounds of the coming years, in order to:

I - include blocks of the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin (SEAL-AUP1 and SSEAL-AUP2 sectors) and the Pernambuco-Paraíba Basin (sector SPEPB-AP3) in the 15th Round of Bids for exploratory blocks;

II - to include blocks of the Campos Basin (sector SC-AP5) in the 15th Round of Bids, excluding them from the 16th Round;

III - include blocks of the Campos Basin (sector SC-AP4) in the 16th Round of Bids, excluding them from the 15th Round;

IV - to extend the Uirapuru prospect area in the Santos Basin to the south, aiming at the evaluation of the technical and economic parameters for its offer in the 4th Round of Block Bids under the Production Sharing Regime.
