The dock is a national leader in the oil movement between the public ports.
The oil movement is growing increasingly in the Port of Suape. From January to July 2016, the Port reached the milestone of 2.7 million tons moved, accounting for an increase of 87.35% over the same period of 2015 when 1.4 million tons were handled.
The oil that reaches Suape has destined for the Abreu e Lima Refinery, which has been increasing its processing capacity of barrels of oil per day (bpd) to reach the milestone of 100 barrels of oil processed daily and recorded in July 2016 new record. This month, they were processed a total of 3.07 million barrels, load 4.6% higher than the record of May 2016 (2.94 million barrels).
All product comes through coastal navigation coming from the extraction fields (Oil Basins) of the Espírito Santo, Rio Grande do Norte, Santos and terminals in these areas that draw the land as well.
NATIONAL RANKING - Compared to national public ports, Suape maintains a good margin of difference. The port of Rio Grande (RS), for example, moved from January to July 2016, 363,000 tons of oil, ranking 2nd place, followed by the port of Fortaleza (CE), which handled 249,000 tons of product. The port of Santos is in 5th place in the country with 81,000 tons.
