The ANP participates this week in the North Sea Offshore Conference (ONS) held in Norway from 27-30 / 8. The largest energy fair in Europe, ONS 2018 aims to promote industry discussions on the future of the sector, new technologies, new forms of leadership and new business models. The edition of the event, held in 2016, received more than 65,000 visitors from 99 countries.
Yesterday (27/8), director Felipe Kury gave the lecture "The Brazilian O & G Industry: Improvements, goals and opportunities" within the session of the conference on Brazil. He presented an overview of the regulatory changes of the past two years, in addition to the results of the recent rounds and expectations for the coming rounds.
The panel was opened by Norway's Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Ingvil Smines, and also featured presentations from the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy and the CEO of Equinor Brazil, which showed interest in the future of the oil and gas industry in Brazil.
Throughout the week, the ANP delegation - also composed of board chairperson Raphael Moura - will meet with the Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Energy of Norway, the director-general of the Petroleum Safety Authority and the director-general of Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to deal with various regulatory and technical aspects, aiming at the attraction of investments and the development of industry in Brazil.
