The National Electric System Operator - ONS announced on Monday, March 16, the adoption of new preventive measures against the new Coronavirus. Home office regime, rotation of employees for essential activities, cancellation of trips, meetings and events and adoption of flexible working hours to avoid peak hours in public transport are among the actions taken.
The objective is to reduce the risk of extensive contamination of ONS teams by the new Coronavirus. These measures will be adopted, in principle, between 17 and 30 March.
Last Friday, March 13, ONS had already suspended the presence in person at meetings at ONS offices, such as the Monthly Operation Program - PMO and weekly Operation programming meetings. These meetings continue to be broadcast live on the ONS website (www.ons.org.br).
ONS emphasizes that, even with the measures adopted, the supply of electricity is guaranteed.
Check out the measures adopted by ONS:
- Home Office for all employees in all offices (Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Recife and Florianópolis), with the exception of those whose activities are essentially in person;

- Pregnant women and their spouses will only work in the home office regime;
- Trainees and young apprentices are free to attend offices and carry out a home office;
- Meetings will be postponed or held remotely;
