OOS International is filled with pride to introduce a new semi-submersible accommodation vessel (SSAV), the OOS Tiradentes (previously named CR-600), destined to enter the OOS International fleet. This vessel, named after a famous independence hero in Brazil, will departure from Yantai to Brazil in February 2018 and be stationed in Brazil under contract with Petrobras.

On December 29th 2017, OOS International named the OOS Tiradentes in collaboration with CIMC Raffles, due to enter OOS International’s offshore operations in Q1 2018. “The platform, developed in China, represents an important next step within our strategy adding a substantial capacity, reducing fuel consumption and saving on costs to meet the clients’ needs. I visited and inspected the unit several times and I am impressed by the quality of the vessel and highly experienced project team involved with the newbuild of the OOS Tiradentes. The main priority is to work in a safe and comfortable environment and CIMC Raffles executed this philosophy in the most professional way. Thumbs up for the entire team”, Mr. Léon Overdulve, CEO of OOS International, explains.

The OOS Tiradentes is a self-propelled unit equipped with electrical driven cranes with a capacity up to 2x 60T and accommodation for 600 persons on board designed for maintenance and installation operations on worldwide oceans such as Brazil and the Gulf of Mexico. To provide the crew onboard excellent business and leisure facilities even a high-end basketball court is installed.

This vessel has a dynamically positioning system, which is the primary mode for station keeping nearby the floating or fixed installations in accordance with DP3 requirements. It offers safe access to and from the Marine Aluminum telescopic gangway connecting to the installation as safety is our highest priority.

OOS International would like to thank CIMC Raffles for making this possible. We look forward to a continous strong business partnership in the future.

Two of our current heavy lift floatels are already operational in Brazil, with an uptime of 99% year to date and an excellent client performance evaluation score of 97 for the OOS Gretha and 100 for the OOS Prometheus.

OOS International will add two new semi-submersible heavy lift vessels to its fleet expanding its capacity. The delivery of both vessels, the OOS Serooskerke and OOS Walcheren, has been scheduled for 2019.
