On March 16, the hull of the P-71 arrived in Espírito Santo to be integrated with the other modules at the Jurong Aracruz Shipyard (EJA). The trip began on December 12, 2019, when the hull left the CIMC Raffles shipyard in China, heading for Brazil.

At the shipyard, in addition to the completion of the construction of nine modules, another 19 modules will also be integrated and commissioned to the hull. These activities are expected to be completed in the second half of 2021.

The P-71 is the sixth platform in the Replicantes series designed to operate in the pre-salt layer, with a capacity of 150 thousand barrels of oil per day and a gas compression of 6 million m³ / day.

The forecast of generating jobs to meet the demands of the P-71 is about 2,000 direct jobs and 4,000 indirect jobs, moving the associated service chain, in addition to heating the local economy.

The execution of the P-71 hull within international metrics demonstrates that Petrobras' decision to seek competition from suppliers to meet its projects was correct. The delivery of production units within the expected deadlines brings predictability and security to the various actors involved, shipyards, partners, suppliers, investors and society itself.

Care in the transport operation due to the Covid-19 pandemic

The hull of the P-71 was transported without crew on board. Regarding the tugboats that participated in the operation, during the entire trip there was no change in the crew, which was monitored. The operation followed all the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
