Attracting investments to Paraná in the areas of aerospace, automotive and clean energy was the objective of a mission promoted at the end of April by CCBC with Paraná Development Agency (APD).

The three sectors are strategic either in Canada and in Paraná. Andrezza Oikawa, APD technical director, and Jean Alberini, Economic Development manager, participated in meetings with potential investors, presenting the characteristics of the state, the incentives offered by the government of Paraná and investment opportunities.

"The organization was the highlight of the event held in Toronto. Another positive aspect was the meetings with local companies with technical and real adherence, what may result in future business”, said Alberini. " The schedules and events were successfully coordinated by CCBC´s team", completed Andrezza.

Paraná holds figures to its favor to trigger interest from Canadians: it is the second most competitive state of the country, according to The Economist Intelligence Unit; it offers good infrastructure of ports, airports and highways; 100% of the optical fiber network; proximity to Mercosur countries and HDI of 0.749, one of the highest of the country.

"This is a good moment for direct foreign investment in Brazil, calling attention of Canadian investors. Paraná has been standing out for its infrastructure and the incentives offered," asserts Paulo de Castro Reis, CCBC´s Institutional Relations director, who joined the mission.

The agenda also included the participation in the 2nd Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce Infrastructure Forum, in Toronto, and in the Aerospace Innovation Forum, in Montréal.
