Yesterday, June 1, Pedro Pullen Parente, a qualified engineer, took office as Chief Executive Officer of Petrobras, in a ceremony held at the Palacio do Planalto, in Brasilia. The ceremony was attended by the country’s acting president, Michel Temer, the Minister of Finance, Henrique Meirelles, presidential Chief of Staff, Eliseu Padilha, and the Minister of Mines and Energy, Fernando Coelho Filho, along with the chairman of the Petrobras Board of Directors, Nelson Carvalho.

 

At the event, the new presidents of BNDES (Brazilian Development Bank), Maria Silvia Bastos Marques; Banco do Brasil, Paulo Rogério Caffareli; Caixa Economica Federal, Gilberto Occhi; IPEA (Institute of Applied Economic Research), Ernesto Lozardo; and IBGE (Brazilian Institute for Geography and Statistics), Paulo Rabello de Castro all officially took office.

 

Official hand over

Today, June 2, Pedro Parente took part in a ceremony to mark the official hand over of the post of Petrobras CEO. It was held in the auditorium at the company headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.
