Between December 1 and 3, Petrobras participates in Rio Oil & Gas 2020, the largest event in the oil and gas segment in Latin America. In addition to being the main sponsor of this year's edition, which will have a 100% online program and will address the theme “Energy for a changing world”, the company will participate in 21 panels at the Congress, with lectures by the president, Roberto Castello Branco, directors and several executive managers.

On Wednesday (12/2), at 12:10 pm, the director of Exploration and Production, Carlos Alberto Pereira de Oliveira, will speak at the panel “Increasing competitiveness in upstream”. On the same date and time, the director of Institutional Relationship and Sustainability, Roberto Furian Ardenghy, will be the moderator of the discussion on “How to bring value to the downstream by reforming the tax system”. At 2:10 pm, it is the turn of the Refining and Natural Gas director, Anelise Lara (photo), to be one of the speakers to debate the theme “The new downstream market”.

Petrobras president Roberto Castello Branco will participate in Rio Oil & Gas's CEO Talks on Thursday (12/3), at 11:20 am. On the same day, at 2:10 pm, Anelise Lara speaks again at the event, this time to discuss “Diversity and female leadership in energy: a question of strategy, mindset or protagonism?”. Also on Thursday, at 4:30 pm, the Director of Digital Transformation and Innovation, Nicolas Simone, will be present at the panel “Competitiveness in the O&G sector - Industry 4.0 and the use of scientific entrepreneurship”.

Starting Up 

On 11/30, the eve of the official opening of Rio Oil & Gas, the Starting Up will be held, an unprecedented event linked to the congress aimed at digital entrepreneurs, technology experts, as well as leaders, specialists and people interested in the universe of startups. Petrobras representatives contributed to the format of the event and will be present at all panels.

Petrobras' participation in the Starting Up will end at 5 pm, with a lecture by the executive manager of the Petrobras Research and Development Center (Cenpes), Juliano Dantas, in the panel “What´s next? How is the sector articulating to pave the way for the future of the O&G and Energy Industry? ”.

Petrobras Immersive Room 

Master sponsor of Rio Oil & Gas, the company will set up the Petrobras Immersive Room at the event. Working as a kind of “virtual stand”, the space will have the theme “Energy to Transform the Impossible into Incredible” and will present visitors with various contents related to the company's activities, such as the giant fields of the pre-salt of Búzios and Tupi, technologies state-of-the-art for oil production in ultra-deep waters, the new generation of fuels - renewable diesel and aviation biokerosene, among other subjects.
