14th ANP Round
T&B Petroleum/Agencia Brasil Press Office
In the Twitter social network, President Michel Temer reported that it was "much higher than expected" to raise R $ 3.842 billion in signature bonus with the 14th round of oil exploration block bidding promoted today (27) by the National Petroleum Agency , Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), in Rio de Janeiro.
The message says that the bid shows the resumption of confidence in Brazil, like the earlier comment on the auction of the hydroelectric plants operated by Cemig. "The 14th round of oil and gas bids yielded almost R $ 4 billion in bonuses, well above expectations. Trust is back! "Says the text.
The most popular blocks were those of the Campos Basin, on the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, where eight of the 10 that were offered were sold by the Petrobras / ExxonMobil consortium. The two companies, in a consortium, paid R $ 2.244 billion for the Campos Marítimos 346 block (BC-346), one of the most disputed areas of the 14th Round and the biggest signing bonus.
The total minimum investment in the blocks will be R $ 571 million. In total, the ANP offered 287 exploratory blocks in 29 sectors of nine sedimentary basins in the country.
