Findes, through the Capixaba Oil and Gas Forum, carried out, between May 11th and 13th, 2020, the second survey in order to analyze the current socioeconomic impact.

This survey was attended by 146 companies from different states, such as: Espírito Santo, Bahia, Federal District, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. 76% of the sample represents companies located in the state of Espírito Santo.

The survey results show that 45% of the companies had breaches of contracts, and that 92% had their sales impacted, with one in four companies with a drop of more than 50% in their revenues.

Institucional

Companies are taking several palliative measures to prevent the virus from proliferating. Social distance, through the home office, was the first preventive measure adopted by many companies. The survey shows that 87% of companies already adopt this measure, with 17% already having 100% of their employees in home office.

With the reduction in revenue, some companies had to adopt other measures, with the objective of reducing their costs, such as negotiating wages and reducing the workload. The sample points out that 27% of the companies have already negotiated salaries and 29% have reduced the employee's workload.

Personnel termination has also been a measure adopted by Brazilian companies. 20% of the sample points out that there were no dismissals, but that there will possibly be, and in 42% of the sample, companies affirm that it was already necessary to carry out the dismissal of some employees.

As for the number of Covid-19 cases in the 146 participating companies, 13% have already registered cases in their companies, and 19% reported that there were suspicious cases.

As suggestions for support through the FCP & G, the entrepreneurs requested the facilitation of access to credit, identification and dissemination of opportunities and demands, promotion of events and digital actions of articulation with entities of the sector and Government.
