The Abreu e Lima Refinery (RNEST) breaks a new record for the production of fuel oil, with a volume of 211,139 m³ in April, 16.8% more than the previous month.

It is the second record this year. In March, the refinery had already reached the milestone of 180,725 m³, a volume 7.3% above the previous record, of 168,365 m³, reached in May 2020.

The fuel oil produced at RNEST is used in large engines by industry, thermoelectric and ship sectors. In addition, the product serves as a raw material in the formulation of Bunker 2020 - marine fuel with a low sulfur content. The product is mainly exported to Singapore.

In 2020, the production of fuel oil corresponded to approximately 27% of RNEST's total production, being surpassed only by the production of S10 diesel oil.

With the most recent results, RNEST proves its ability to capture and minimize the return based on market demands.
